California Environmental Voters Education Fund is seeking a Youth Ambassador for our 2027 program. This part-time, non-exempt role is hybrid, with Central Valley, Sacramento, Sierra Nevada, or Inland Empire locations and a typical schedule of 10–12 hours per week, with occasional weeks up to 15 hours.

The term runs January 2027 to September 2027. You will participate in a nine-month cohort to build grassroots power for the environment, support youth leadership, and engage in outreach to advance

Qualifikationen

• Commit to working an average of 10–12 hours per week, with occasional weeks up to 15 hours.
• Strong commitment to environmental justice and climate advocacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to mobilize others.
• Experience in community engagement and youth empowerment is desirable.
• Public speaking skills and comfort presenting to groups.

Aufgaben

• Attend weekly online meetings and meet in person with your regional cohort at least once a month.
• Coordinate with your cohort to plan the next phase of WE CAN! and advocate for youth climate boards.
• Collaborate with regional organizers to increase youth engagement in local policy issues.
• Create social media content to amplify local voices and promote campaigns.
• Plan and lead community initiatives, events, and volunteer recruitment activities.
• Expand youth participation and leadership in civic processes and engage diverse communities.
