Qualifications

• 10–12 hours per week commitment with occasional weeks up to 15 hours
• Passion for environmental justice and sustainability
• Strong communication, social and interpersonal skills
• Experience in community engagement and leadership development
• Public speaking experience is a plus
• Good time management and ability to work autonomously
• Willingness to engage youth and diversify leadership in civic processes

Responsibilities

• Commit to 10–12 hours per week, with occasional weeks up to 15 hours
• Attend weekly online meetings and meet in person monthly
• Coordinate with cohort to plan the Water Equity and Clean Air Now campaign
• Collaborate with regional organizers to increase youth engagement
• Develop social media content to amplify local voices and initiatives
• Lead community initiatives and grassroots campaigns for environmental issues
• Expand youth participation in civic processes and youth leadership
• Plan events like workshops and forums to engage students and community
• Increase awareness on climate, environmental policy, and environmental justice
• Meet with local officials to advocate for sustainability initiatives
• Attend staff retreats in Los Angeles and Sacramento
