Job summary

First Baptist Church Dunlap is seeking an Associate Pastor for Youth and Children to lead, nurture, and grow ministries for children and youth under 18. The role includes teaching Bible studies, mentoring youth and adult leaders, partnering with parents, and creating opportunities for young people to grow in faith.

The position also oversees major ministry programs and events (Sunday School, Wednesday activities, Vacation Bible School, Winter Retreat, Summer Camp) and carries responsibility for

Qualifications

• Clear call to ministry toward Children and Youth.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited university.
• Master of Divinity in Theology, Missions or related discipline preferred.
• Two years of experience in Youth and/or Children’s ministry preferred.
• Must affirm the Baptist Faith and Message, 2000 and First Baptist Church Dunlap’s constitution and by-laws.
• Must be willing to submit to a full background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead, nurture, and grow ministries for children and youth under 18.
• Teach Bible studies, mentor youth and adult leaders, and partner with parents.
• Oversee major ministry programs and events: Sunday School, Wednesday activities, Vacation Bible School, Winter Retreat, Summer Camp.
• Coordinate volunteers and uphold child safety policies, including background checks and training.
• Support overall church services and activities; preach or teach as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
