Salary

$22.06/hour

Position Summary

The Youth and Child Care Specialist supervises pregnant and parenting residents, ensuring a supportive residential environment. The role promotes the development of independent living skills for pregnant and parenting teens.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support pregnant/parenting teens.
  • Implement recreation and structured programming for residents.
  • Teach independent living skills (laundry, cleaning, cooking) and parenting skills; co-facilitate groups; participate in training on evidence-based models and behavior management systems.
  • Provide safe child care and developmentally appropriate learning activities.
  • Perform diapering, bathing, dressing, feeding children as needed; assist with meal prep in absence of cook.
  • Administer medications accurately and document appropriately.
  • Prepare rooms for new admissions, conduct orientation, and ensure medical clearances.
  • Implement trauma-informed responses and uphold agency rules and policies.
  • Assist residents in developing parenting skills and promoting independence.
  • Ensure timely documentation and report incidents or issues to supervisors.
Work Schedule

40 hours per week
