Job summary

The Hawaii National Guard Youth CHalleNGe Academy is seeking a Recruiter to identify, screen, and recruit at-promise youth for a voluntary residential program on Oahu, Kalaeloa. You will travel to interview applicants and coordinate with parents to facilitate cadet transitions into the program and back into society.

You will typically work under an RPM Coordinator and may assist in mentoring, case management, and coordinating residential staff to support post-residential action plans.

Qualifications

• Requires experience working with at-promise youth, counseling, or recruiting.
• Strong interpersonal communication and crisis management skills.
• Ability to supervise personnel and work in a high-stress environment.
• Must have a valid driver's license and CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Identify, screen, and recruit at-promise youth for the voluntary residential program.
• Travel to conduct outreach, interview applicants/parents, and facilitate cadet transitions.
• Support RPM Coordinator and mentor residential staff to aid post-residential plans.
