Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) invites qualified applicants for a full-time security position at the Los Angeles Job Corps Center. You will patrol the grounds, manage front desk sign-in and temporary badges, and ensure ID badges are worn for safety of staff, students, and visitors.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of security experience, and the ability to lift 50–70 lbs. Strong communication skills and a valid driver's license are needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• One year security experience.
• Prefer experience with US Armed Forces or organized police or firefighting.
• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs and walk outdoors on uneven terrain.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and computer proficiency.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls and greet and assist visitors.
• Assist in check-in/out of students/inmates per policies and procedures.
• Transport ill or injured students as required.
• Promote, support, and adhere to safety practices throughout the facility.
