Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme seeks an Unit Director to lead the Harriet H. Samuelsson Teen Center, overseeing daily operations, staff development and budget management in Oxnard, CA. This role drives program outcomes and youth development within a safety-conscious environment.

You will collaborate with partners, volunteers and committee initiatives to expand services, engage youth, and ensure high-quality programming aligned with BGCA standards.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years’ work in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities.
• Demonstrated ability to work with youth, parents and community leaders.
• Experience in personnel supervision, facilities management, recruitment and retention.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Working knowledge of budget preparation, control and management.
• Planning/organizing – prioritizing and time management.
• Dependability and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage daily operations of the Harriet H. Samuelsson Teen Center to deliver outcome-driven programs and services.
• Supervise and train staff; handle personnel issues and budget management.
• Develop and maintain community relations with contracted partners, volunteers and members.
• Oversee program development, quality improvement and safety planning.
• Recruit, train and mentor staff; ensure compliance with program standards.
• Collaborate with governance and committee teams to support organizational goals.
• Prepare regular reports on attendance, program activity and outcomes.
