Job summary

Career Systems Development Corporation seeks a Career Transition Specialist at the San Jose Job Corps site. You will counsel students on career transition readiness, job search skills, military or educational placements, and job retention. Lead case management and coordinate mock interviews, job fairs, and connections with external resources.

Work Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. Requires a relevant degree or associate with experience, strong communication, driving license, CPR/FA certification, and the ability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Associates with two years related experience.
• Knowledge of case management and career/employment counseling.
• Excellent oral and written communication; CPR/FA certification.
• Valid state driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Enforce safety and program policies in Career Transition services.
• Conduct interviews and provide re-orientation for job search techniques.
• Maintain caseload and bi-weekly or 30-day contact with students.
• Coordinate mock interviews, job fairs, and career days.
• Lamiliarize students with military, one-stop resources, and external partners.
• Ensure documentation and licenses are completed prior to student exit.
