Salary: $46,000-48,000 per year

Are you goal-driven? Then the Youth Career Advisor position is for you! We are seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual to join our spirited team.

This role involves providing support and assistance to NWPA Job Connect youth program participants in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement. The position requires an organized individual who can efficiently handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide individualized basic skills assessment and identify employment goals based on career interest, ability, and personal development considerations.
  2. Develop an Individual Employment Plan in conjunction with youth.
  3. Assist youth in accomplishing the goals of the Individual Service Strategy.
  4. Build one-on-one working relationships with participants to assist in mitigating challenges to obtaining and retaining employment.
  5. Facilitate educational activities in individual and group settings to remediate basic skills and increase functional educational levels.
  6. Coordinate onsite and offsite career awareness field trips with employers and educational facilities.
  7. Provide comprehensive case management and follow-up to ensure positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract.
  8. Provide referrals to appropriate community service or social service agencies as needed.
  9. Establish detailed documentation of all client records to maintain an organized database and generate all project reports as needed.
  10. Provide regular updates to the Youth Program Manager.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, education, training, human resources, or a related area is required.
  • Case management experience required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and document visits and contacts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent follow-through when corresponding with partners, staff, and customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
