Pathway Family Services seeks PRN Youth Care Worker to join the Psychiatric Residential Treatment team in Topeka, KS. This role offers 10-20 hours weekly and requires a high school diploma or equivalent. We are currently seeking PRN Youth Care Workers to join our Psychiatric Residential Treatment team. If you are 21 or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent, you’re already on your way. We’ll teach you everything else you need to know.

What a Day Looks Like as a Youth Care Worker I
  • Start the day by greeting residents and setting a positive, encouraging tone
  • Lead engaging activities—from group discussions to creative projects
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to help youth build healthy habits and coping skills
  • Reinforce positive behaviors and ensure participation in daily programming
  • Document progress and collaborate with the treatment team on individualized care plans
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as meal supervision or laundry
  • Transport residents to appointments or activities while ensuring safety and structure

Your role is more than supervision—it’s about being a steady, supportive presence in a young person’s life.
