Pathway Family Services in Topeka, KS is seeking PRN Youth Care Workers to join our Psychiatric Residential Treatment team. If you are 21 or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent, you’re on your way.

We’ll teach you everything else you need to know. As a Youth Care Worker I, you will greet residents, lead activities, provide guidance and mentorship, document progress, and assist with daily living tasks.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and patient attitude toward at-risk youth.
• Reliable team player who can also work independently.
• Motivated to learn and grow; no prior experience required.
• Willing to complete the PI assessment as part of the process.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and set a positive, encouraging tone at the start of each day.
• Lead engaging activities from group discussions to creative projects.
• Provide guidance, support and mentorship to help youth develop healthy habits and coping skills.
• Reinforce positive behaviors and ensure participation in daily programming.
• Document resident progress and collaborate with the treatment team on care plans.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as meals and laundry; transport residents to appointments.
• Be a steady, supportive presence in a young person’s life.

Average hourly rate is $17.85 (including wage, incentives, bonuses, overtime, etc.)
