Job summary

Rite of Passage at Oak Grove Academy in Jasper, Florida is seeking a Youth Care Worker to provide 24-hour supervision and ensure youth safety. You will monitor behaviors and support youth during sports and recreational activities.

The schedule features a 10-day rotation with 12-hour shifts. A High School Diploma or GED plus 40 college hours or one year youth experience is required. A $1,000 training incentive is offered after completing essential skills training.

Located in rural Jasper, Florida - At Oak Grove Academy, we provide a therapeutic approach to improving the lives of Youth through the many opportunities we offer such as Equine, Sports, Culinary Arts, Medical or Masonry.

Pay: Starting at $19 per hour. Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period.

What you will do

As a Youth Care Worker, you will provide 24‑hour security and supervision to always ensure the safety of our Youth. You will monitor and document behaviors, monitor and join the Youth during Sports and Recreation time and assist and mentor the youth while they learn and develop within the program.

To be considered you should

Possess a High School Diploma or GED and 40 hours of college education OR have one‑year experience working with youth in organized group activities and possess a Driver's License.

Schedule

Our Youth Care Worker schedule follows a repeating 10‑day rotation: work two days, off three days, work three days, and off two days. The rotation does not restart at the beginning of a new week or pay period. Each full shift is 12 hours with a 1‑hour unpaid break = 11 working hours.
