Job summary

Boys Town is seeking a Youth Care Worker in Oviedo, FL to help youth build brighter futures through vital life-skills instruction and a supportive living environment. The role is part-time, approx. 24-30 hours per week, with a starting pay of $18.00 per hour and rotating shifts.

Responsibilities include teaching skills, monitoring behavior, supporting academic progress, and transporting youth as needed. A high school diploma, 21+ years, valid license, and CPR/personal restraint training are

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• CPR certification and national personal restraint model training must be obtained during pre-service training.

Responsibilities

• Teach life skills and monitor youth behavior.
• Create a safe, positive living environment.
• Support youth academic success and personal development.
• Transport youth to appointments, school, and activities.
• Assist with intake and departure documentation.
• Observe mediation and planning conferences with youth and families.
• Be physically and emotionally able to manage stressful situations.
• Work indoors with some outdoor activities and occasional interruptions.
