Thompson is seeking a Youth Care Specialist for our youth residential programs in the Nashville area. You will supervise, support, and build therapeutic relationships with youth, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met while maintaining safe, clean environments and timely documentation.

This full-time role offers competitive pay, benefits, PTO, and opportunities for advancement, with a rotating 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am schedule and potential travel to multiple facilities in the region.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet credentialing, licensing and privileging standards as it pertains to the program.
• High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• A minimum of one year of experience working in a residential youth or adult operation or related experience in child and family services.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision, support, guidance, and build a therapeutic relationship with the youth under your care.
• Engage with youth, provide direction, structure and support for physical and physiological needs; schedule activities and maintain safe, clean milieus; complete daily documentation; transport clients as needed.
• This position may require travel to various residential facilities within the Nashville area.
• Work the rotating schedule: 1st shift 7am-7pm or 2nd shift 7pm-7am.

What will you do as a Youth Care Specialist for our youth residential programs?

• As a Youth Care specialist, you will provide supervision, support, guidance, and build a therapeutic relationship with the youth under your care.
• A typical day as a Youth Care Specialist will include engaging with youth in the program, providing direction, structure and support for their physical and physiological needs. Scheduling and participating in activities, ensuring the physical milieus remain clean and safe, completing daily documentation as required by regulatory standards and transporting clients as needed for appointments and activities
• This position may require travel to various residential facilities within the Nashville area.
• As a Youth Care Specialist, you will work the below rotating schedule:

1st Shift: 7am-7pm or 2nd Shift: 7pm-7am

Week 1:

Monday, Thursday, Friday

Week 2:

Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet any credentialing, licensing and privileging standards as it pertains to the program

• All full-time employees must work one of the following schedules: 1st shift (7am-7pm) or 2nd shift (7pm-7am)
