Job summary

Hillside is seeking a Youth Care Professional I to support residents and families by delivering relationship-based, competence-centered, and trauma-informed solutions. You will help create a warm, safe environment, engage youths in trust-based relationships, and provide mentoring, life skills, and personal care while maintaining required safety and documentation standards.

The role requires High School Diploma or GED, CPR certification or within 60 days, and is on-site with variable scheduling

Qualifications

• Demonstrate emotional competence and good judgment to build productive relationships with youth, staff and families.
• Ability to complete required documentation timely according to policies and regulations.
• Recognize escalating behavior and apply training in behavior management and TCI including physical interventions (holds).
• Demonstrate problem-solving and conflict resolution skills with self and others.

Responsibilities

• Engage youth and families in trust-based, productive relationships to prepare for transitions and independence.
• Maintain safety and proper staff-to-resident ratios per requirements.
• Provide mentoring, emotional support, life skills training, and personal care.
• Execute after school and weekend activities; accompany children on outings and transport them to appointments.
• Complete and maintain documentation in medical records and logs.
