Job summary

Hillside in Bath, NY seeks a Youth Care Professional I to support residents and families through trauma-informed, relationship-based care, helping youth reach their potential. You will help create a warm, safe environment and contribute to daily functioning.

Responsibilities include mentoring, life skills training, after-school activities, documentation, and crisis de-escalation, with potential for weekend shifts. CPR certification within 60 days is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification required or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Unrestricted NYS driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage youth and families in trust-based, productive relationships to help transitions and independence.
• Maintain safety and proper ratios according to policy and funder requirements.
• Provide mentoring, emotional support, life skills training, and personal care to youth.
• Assist with after-school and weekend activities and accompany youths to outings and appointments.
• Complete and maintain medical record system and daily logs per program requirements.
• Supervise residents using trauma-informed approaches and crisis prevention techniques.
