Job summary

Youth Outreach Services is seeking a Youth Care Worker in Bellwood, IL to support and mentor adolescent males in a residential program. This part-time, on-call floater role focuses on helping youth develop life skills, maintain structure, and prepare for independence in a safe, supportive environment.

You will supervise residents, assist with daily routines and service plans, document activities, and provide transportation as needed, with a pay rate of $19.91 per hour.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 60 credit hours required.
• 1 year of experience with high-risk adolescents (residential setting preferred).
• Or 3 years experience with at-risk youth in lieu of a degree.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Clean driving record required.
• Reliable transportation (proof of insurance may be required).

Responsibilities

• Support youth with daily routines and life skills.
• Provide guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Assist with service plans and referrals.
• Supervise residents and ensure a safe environment.
• Conduct room checks and headcounts.
