Major Duties
  • Provide high quality therapeutic care for children, ranging in age from 6-18 years, within the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility.
  • Provide life skills instruction, coping, and team building skills for each child.
  • Encourage physical, emotional, and behavioral growth and development for youth.
  • Maintain the safety and security of the children in care and attend to their needs in a nurturing way.
  • Provide complete documentation as required.
  • Be part of a learning culture, where teamwork and collaboration are encouraged, excellence is rewarded, leadership is valued, and diversity is respected.
  • Able to work open shifts, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm or 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm or overnights 10:00 pm - 8:00 am. Weekend availability is required.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 21 years of age with valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with children and teens.
  • Ability to lead a group in an activity.
  • Commitment, integrity, and adaptability.
  • Enthusiasm, sense of humor, and patience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College credit hours in social work, psychology, or related mental health fields from an accredited college.
  • Aptitude to work with youth who have emotional and behavioral challenges.
