Job summary

headspace is seeking a Youth Care Coordinator to support young people on their journey to better mental health at headspace Orange, Wiradjuri Country. You will conduct psychosocial assessments and provide evidence-based interventions within a multidisciplinary team.

This full-time role offers opportunities for ongoing learning, supervision, and community engagement, with a focus on culturally safe care and making a real difference in the lives of young people.

Qualifications

• Requires qualifications in psychology, social work, nursing or related field
• Experience conducting clinical assessments of youth with mental health concerns
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong interpersonal skills to connect with young people
• Familiar with clinical software packages

Responsibilities

• Foster long-term engagement with clients and ensure continuity of care

What will you do?

What do you need?

• Qualifications in (or working towards) psychology, social work, occupational therapy, nursing, drug and alcohol work, youth work, mental health, or other relevant fields for providing clinical interventions
• Experience in conducting clinical assessments of young people facing mental health or drug and alcohol challenges
• Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with young people
• A solid understanding of technology and clinical software packages
