Job summary

AmeriCorps & Senior Corps is partnering with High Rocks- The Martinsburg Initiative Partnership in Martinsburg, WV to support youth outreach and substance use prevention programs. The role includes coordinating youth input, assisting with media campaigns, and promoting community health initiatives in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties.

You will collaborate with police, schools, and community partners to empower local youth and provide education on prescription drug misuse and overdose prevention.

Qualifications

• Interest in youth development and community outreach.
• Ability to communicate effectively with youth, families, and partners.
• Willingness to coordinate and support campaigns and events.

Responsibilities

• Support marketing and media campaign for youth regarding prescription drug misuse and overdose awareness.
• Facilitate monthly youth advisory meetings to gather input for marketing and media campaign.
• Serve as a liaison to youth coalitions in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties to promote the campaign, and facilitate youth coalition meetings with an emphasis on prescription drug misuse and overdose awareness
• Support outreach events associated with substance use prevention.
