Job summary

Alexander Youth Network is seeking a Behavioral Health Counselor to provide, coordinate, and monitor direct care for children in a therapeutic setting.

The role includes developing and facilitating activities aligned with our care model, implementing interventions, and monitoring clients in crisis with reports to the treatment team. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• B.A./B.S. in related human service field preferred.
• Four years of experience in Mental Health preferred.
• Ability to solve practical problems and address various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Provide, coordinate, and monitor direct care activities for clients in the treatment environment.
• Develop, implement, and facilitate therapeutic activities aligned with the agency's Model of Care.
• Offer appropriate interventions to maintain consumer baseline behaviors.
• Monitor clients in crisis and report behaviors to therapeutic and medical staff.
• Participate in 1 to 1 monitoring of clients when deemed appropriate.
