Job description

Overview

The YMCA is seeking Youth Basketball Officials for programs. This position is part-time. Games are scheduled Friday nights from 4:30 to 9:15 PM and Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 4 PM.

Salary range: $15-$30/hour based on experience, availability, and certifications. In addition, we offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in officiating and parent interaction.
  • Ensure games run smoothly and safely with all activities starting and ending on schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Age 15 years or older.
  • Significant involvement and understanding of the sport.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 30 days.
  • Ability to organize and engage groups of children.
  • Ability to break down a skill and explain it so that participants can understand and perform the skill.
  • Ability to communicate and work with a variety of people including kids, staff, and community members.
