Job summary

The Tuckahoe Family YMCA is seeking a part-time Basketball Instructor to help develop and implement safe, enjoyable basketball clinics for youth ages 4-11. Instructors should have played or refereed basketball and be available to work weekday evenings and weekends, assisting practices, games and clinics and guiding younger staff.

Qualifications

• Basketball knowledge and experience expected (play or officiate).
• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with parents and children.
• Comfort working with youth and maintaining a positive, safe environment.

• Develop and implement safe, enjoyable basketball clinics.
• Be available to work weekday evenings and weekends for practices, games and clinics.

Job description

The Tuckahoe Family YMCA is currently seeking part time sports enthusiasts to help with our basketball program! Looking for a Basketball Instructor who has either played or refereed basketball before. The pay range for this position is $15-$17 per hour based on experience and qualifications. We are looking for someone that can work nights and weekends.

Duties Of a Basketball Instructor

Basketball instructors will help develop and implement safe and enjoyable basketball clinics. Basketball instructors should be available to work weekday evenings and weekends to help facilitate basketball practices, games, and clinics. Ideal basketball instructors will be creating lesson plans for youth ages 4-11, setting up and cleaning up materials & providing leadership to other basketball staff.

QUALIFICATIONS Of a Basketball Instructor

Basketball specialists must know the rules of basketball, work well with young people, be able to multitask, and communicate effectively with parents and children.
