Job summary

Utah Jazz Bantam Game Day Intern supports coordination, logistics, and execution of Bantam youth basketball games and practices across fall and winter seasons. Works with Jazz Youth to ensure a quality experience for participants and families, contributing to community events and youth programs.

The role requires organization, dependability, and passion for basketball, youth development, and event operations. Flexible hours, evenings, and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Sports Management, Recreation, Business, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to multitask and manage several priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with coaches, parents, referees, and youth participants.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of problem-solving in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
• Demonstrated reliability and professionalism when representing a major sports brand.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during the fall and winter seasons.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Utah driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all aspects of Jazz Bantam game days and practices, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for players, coaches, and parents.
• Collect, verify, and enter game scoresheets from each location in a timely and accurate manner.
• Collaborate with the Referee Assignor to confirm daily referee schedules, address last-minute changes, and coordinate replacements for no-shows.
• Maintain consistent communication with game day venues to ensure all logistics are in place, including signage, banners, scorekeepers, gym supervisors, and court availability.
• Assist in scheduling and overseeing scorekeepers, serving as a key point of contact for on-site operations.
• Provide on-site support at select games and practices, including setup, breakdown, and event execution.
• Track and submit scorekeeper hours and coordinate payment processes at designated locations.
• Uphold the Utah Jazz brand by fostering a fun, safe, and memorable environment for youth participants and families.
• Identify opportunities to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall Jazz Bantam experience.
