Job summary

Carpet City Flooring Center is seeking a Youth Apprenticeship – Warehouse Associate to join our team. You will gain hands-on experience handling inventory, supporting customer orders, and contributing to efficient warehouse operations.

As part of the program, you will learn warehouse management and logistics under guidance from experienced staff. This role involves indoor and outdoor work, lifting up to 75 pounds, and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Wisconsin youth apprenticeship or school-work program.
• Must be able to be physically present.
• Work Environment: indoors (warehouse/showroom) and outdoors (property care, occasional customer deliveries).
• Physical: lift up to 75 pounds safely (training provided).
• Some bending, reaching, climbing ladders, and moving materials.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and organizing warehouse inventory to ensure efficient operations.
• Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly.
• Participate in receiving and inspecting incoming shipments to maintain quality standards.
• Support the team in maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.
• Engage in hands-on training to develop skills in warehouse management and logistics.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of warehouse processes and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and problem-solving.
