Job description

California Opportunity Youth Apprenticeship Program

Join Amity Foundation in our partnership with the ELAC and Cuesta College Registered Apprenticeship Programs to pursue a career in the field of Substance Use and Behavioral Disorder Counseling. This apprenticeship pathway provides college education, hands‑on training, and career development support. Participants will receive free program‑specific instruction, in‑person or online, and complete 2,000 hours of paid fieldwork. A total educational stipend of $2,450 is distributed in 4 payments throughout the duration of the program.

If you are passionate about helping others and making a difference in your community, apprenticeship can help you build the skills and earn the credentials needed to succeed in the field.

Participants must be 18 – 24 and identify with at least one of the following at the time of enrollment:

  • Current or former foster youth
  • Current or formerly Pell eligible
  • Current or formerly WIOA eligible
  • Currently or formerly enrolled in a Title I school
  • Residing in a high poverty census tract area
  • Formerly incarcerated
  • Youth parent
  • Person with a disability
