The City of New York seeks a Youth Apprentice for the DYCD program in New York. You will shadow DAP staff, learn contract development, and assist with program quality monitoring to support communities.
You will conduct outreach to providers, update system records, and help collect data, track progress, and prepare clear summary reports. Residency and student status are required for eligibility.
The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish.
Employment in this title is restricted to students enrolled in and attending high school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a high school student.

SKILL BUILDING GOALS The HSA requires proficiency in and will help lend practical experience in the following areas: - Project Management - Communications - Frontline IT proficiency (MS Office) - Data collection, analysis, and summarization

Residency Requirement
New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.
