Job summary

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a Clinician to provide behavioral health services to youth and families through Youth and Family Support Services. This role delivers individual, group, and family therapy within recovery-oriented, trauma-informed care and collaborates with schools, probation officers, and community partners.

You will work in youth’s natural settings when appropriate, apply CBT and trauma-informed practices, and help youth develop self-directed recovery.

Qualifications

• Master8s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• At least 1,000 hours of supervised mental health experience.
• Experience providing behavioral health services to youth and families preferred.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as CBT and trauma-informed care.
• Understanding of developmental stages and their application to behavioral health services.
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and assume leadership responsibilities with limited supervision.
• Valid driver6s license, private automobile insurance, and ability to be insured when applicable.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments, treatment/recovery plans, progress notes, and other required documentation in accordance with program, agency, and funder requirements.
• Complete assessments and treatment/recovery plans by required due dates and submit progress notes and other required documentation within established timelines.
• Provide consumer-driven services identified in treatment, recovery, and safety plans while meeting program productivity expectations.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy to youth and families.
• Use recovery-oriented and trauma-informed approaches that promote hope, respect, empowerment, health and wellness, and connectedness.
• Support youth and families in developing self-directed recovery and use appropriate recovery language in documentation.
• Provide referrals, linkage, and advocacy to community resources and family support services.
• Maintain positive working relationships with youth, families, significant others, schools, probation officers, and other members of the youth’s support system.
• Attend team meetings and consumer staffings and participate in program development activities.
• Provide support and backup to other team members as needed.
• Complete required Rule 132 supervision and mandatory Chestnut training and continuing education requirements, when applicable.
• Provide services in the youth9s natural setting when appropriate.
• Apply evidence-based practices, including CBT, trauma-informed care, and knowledge of developmental stages.
• Take regular leadership roles with limited guidance and oversight.
• Promote positive customer service interactions with consumers, families, coworkers, and community partners.
• Maintain and protect the confidentiality of consumer, financial, and organizational information.
• Perform other duties as assigned or as agreed upon with the supervisor.

Overview

Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a Clinician to provide behavioral health services to youth and families through Youth and Family Support Services. The anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $21.35 – $24.31 an hour. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education, experience, local market conditions, and internal equity.
