Avalon Center is seeking a Youth Advocate for part-time (20 hours weekly) in the Greater Williamsburg area. The role delivers trauma-informed crisis intervention and stabilization services for youth and children, including information, referrals, and participation in educational activities.
The Advocate will engage in presentations, social media content creation, hospital accompaniment, and advocacy with partner agencies, while maintaining confidentiality and strong teamwork with the Youth
JOB TITLE: Youth Advocate: PT (20hrs weekly)
REPORTS TO: Director of Youth Services
POSITION SUMMARY: The Advocate provides direct trauma-informed crisis intervention and stabilization services for youth and children who are primary or secondary survivors of domestic or sexual violence, stalking, dating violence, bullying or trafficking. The Advocate provides information & referral and additional supportive services. Participates in educational presentations, classes, groups, awareness events and activities.
