Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or working toward an Education Degree.
• Two years of current or previous work with elementary-aged children.
• Must comprehend and demonstrate behavior management principles and other youth treatment methods.
• Provide guidance, feedback, and supervision to direct reports to ensure understanding of behavior management principles.

Responsibilities

• Support the academic growth and progress of youth.
• Demonstrate proficiency in assigned subjects and assist in curriculum development.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive learning environment.
• Encourage problem solving, curiosity, and independent learning.
• Provide homework assistance, projects, enrichment activities, and other educational opportunities.
• Address behavioral challenges using positive behavioral strategies and implement Success Plans.
• Ensure the 5 Key Elements for Positive Youth Development are followed.
• Maintain safety, supervision, and accurate attendance at the site.
• Communicate progress and concerns to the Education Coordinator and families.
• Attend required meetings and maintain timely communication with parents and guardians.
