Penn State Extension is seeking an enthusiastic Educator to plan and run 4-H youth programs, including horse-related activities, across county and state levels. The role emphasizes youth safety, registration, and community outreach.

The Educator will collaborate with staff, engage families, and manage events, while ensuring compliance with Penn State policies and background clearances. A background in equine and 4-H is highly valued.

• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
• Computer skills for creating documents and marketing pieces.
• Background in equine and 4-H programs.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and reliable vehicle; driving required for duties.

Mansioni

• Plan, implement and evaluate age-appropriate 4-H events, activities, and projects for youth at local, area and state events.
• Collaborate with staff to create new county programs.
• Support 4-H members, leaders, and families with registration and attendance.
• Coordinate registration and supervision for 4-H members in programs.
• Provide communication to volunteers, youth, and parents about upcoming programs and opportunities.
• Monitor children and ensure safety and whereabouts of all participants.
