• Relevant daycare experience in a licensed or accredited daycare, child care center, or preschool.

Responsibilities

• Physical care of infant/toddler (including diapering, feeding, and cleanliness).
• Follow an age-appropriate curriculum, and develop relationships with the director, co-workers, parents, and students.
• Ensure the safety of the children, and cleanliness of the classroom, and treat each child with dignity and respect for their cultural background.
• Interact with each child daily through circle time, centers, snacks, lunchtime, playground, and other activities.
• Maintain accurate attendance; order supplies and materials.
• Utilize effective classroom management and maintain quality results by following standards.
• Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a caring, compassionate individual who has experience caring for children ages six weeks to two years. We are committed to providing top-quality care and education for children who are enrolled in our program. Our goal is to enhance the lives of every child that attends our facility. The position will typically assist with the following:

• Physical care of infant/toddler (including diapering, feeding, and cleanliness);
• Following an age-appropriate curriculum, and developing relationships with the director, co-workers, parents, and students;
• Ensure the safety of the children, and cleanliness of the classroom, and treat each child with dignity and respect for his/her cultural background;
• Interact with each child on a daily basis through circle time, centers, snacks, lunchtime, playground, free play, etc.;
• Maintain accurate attendance; Order supplies and materials;
• Utilize effective classroom management;
• Maintain quality results by following and enforcing standards;
• Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.

Education And Experience

• High school degree or GED.
• Relevant previous daycare experience working with children in a licensed or accredited daycare, child care center, or preschool;
• Caring and compassionate attitude a must; Excellent interpersonal, communication, decision-making, and organizational skills;
• Must have critical thinking, monitoring, negotiating, and learning skills;
• Ability to convey a dynamic, energetic, and fun-loving spirit;
• Must have problem-solving and creativity skills; Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry children (up to 50 lbs.), including kneeling, bending, stooping, stretching, or squatting to interact with children;
• Using fingers and hands to manipulate small objects;
• Running short distances, sitting on the floor; bending, stretching, twisting, and reaching out
• Moving arms and legs quickly and coordinating movement of several parts of the body such as arms and legs, while the body is moving.

• Successful background check, reference checking, and drug/alcohol screening clearance.
