Job description

Are you fluent in both English and Yoruba language? Do you have experience working as an interpreter? LTC is an interpreting agency looking for contract interpreters in and around Indianapolis, IN.

You will accept appointments on an as-needed basis. The ideal interpreter has at least 3 years of interpreting experience in various settings, including medical, social work, education, and workplace environments.

Responsibilities

1. Provide virtual and on-site interpretation services.
2. Act as a liaison using the client’s preferred language.
3. Interpret accurately according to the setting and audience.
4. Comply with all privacy and confidentiality laws, including HIPAA.

Requirements

• Interpreting certifications are preferred.
• At least 2 years of medical interpreting experience is preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of interpreting experience required.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.

As an Independent Contractor, you will provide interpretation services on a 1099 basis and will not be an employee of LTC.

Candidate must reside within commuting distance of Indianapolis, IN.
