Job summary

YMCA of Central Massachusetts is seeking a Part-Time Play & Learn Group Facilitator to lead playgroups for children birth to 6 and their parents or caregivers. Under supervision, you will guide developmentally appropriate activities aligned with MA Early Learning Standards and connect families with community resources.

You will foster a warm environment, lead circle time with reading, music & movement, and engage families during playgroups while helping parents access supports and services.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in early childhood education or a minimum of two years of experience working with young children.
• Able to interact and communicate effectively with parents, children and staff.
• Able to implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriate program activities.
• Must be able to obtain certification in CPR, First Aid and Child Abuse Prevention within the first 30 days of hire.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

We are seeking a Part-Time Play & Learn Group Facilitator to lead playgroups for children (ages birth to 6) and their parents or caregivers. Under the supervision of the CFCE Grant Coordinator, the facilitator will guide children through developmentally appropriate learning activities focused on early literacy and school readiness skills aligned with the MA Early Learning Standards and Guidelines. Additionally, the facilitator will connect families with community resources and supports to promote optimal child development.

Pay:

• $16.00 per hour, plus, access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave.
