YMCA of the North is seeking a Custodian II for Southdale YMCA in Edina, MN. The role is part-time, Monday through Friday evenings, with shifts from 5:00pm to 10:00pm and a wage of $17.00 per hour. The position offers a free YMCA membership and other benefits; part-time benefits vary.

The Custodian II will be responsible for cleaning, sanitation, setup for meetings, pool cleaning, snow removal, lawn care, and related duties, ensuring safety and cleanliness for members and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing if needed.
• Must be able and willing to develop.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of the equipment used for cleaning.
• Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

Responsabilités

• Complete all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintain daily upkeep of assigned area and equipment.
• Perform janitorial duties including wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, recycling, window washing, meeting set up, pool cleaning, painting, vacuuming, lawn care and snow removal.
• Record all needed repairs, repair as directed, report ALL repairs to supervisor, and follow up with staff.
• Ensure YMCA building and property is secure during shift and report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
• Cleanup of blood or body fluids which could contain bloodborne pathogens.
• Operate motorized equipment used for cleaning.
