NXP Semiconductors in Chandler, AZ is seeking a process technician to monitor operations, troubleshoot complex process, quality and yield issues, and maintain manufacturing requirements with the highest quality. You will train, mentor junior technicians, lead cell leads, write recipes on inspection and SEM tools, and analyze data to drive improvements in efficiency and cycle time.

Job description

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
  • Ability to monitor process operations to assure conformance to quality standards and engineering specifications.
  • Help troubleshoot complex process, quality & yield problems.
  • Must be physically capable of standing for long periods of time (up to 12 hours) as well as lifting and carrying objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable presenting issues and solutions.
  • Ability to work well in a diverse team environment and multitask.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Ability to produce results in a timely manner.
  • Provide innovative, real time, quick response, and solutions to operational issues to help maintain manufacturing requirements while maintaining the highest level of quality.
  • Ability to utilize logical and objective data analysis to establish and track metrics to meet objectives.
  • Ability to participate on task force teams across departments and divisions.
  • Ability to train, mentor, develop, and lead cell leads/associates/junior technicians.
  • Ability to successfully plan, execute, analyze and deliver projects per schedule.
  • Strong data analysis ability, troubleshooting, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Aptitude and desire to learn new skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, including the writing of specifications and OCAPs.
  • Check the Yield Rule report often to review YE inventory, priority lots, timer lots and DWRs.
  • Set appropriate priorities in the bay, i.e. Avoid Tool downs for other areas, Escalate critical lots.
  • Communicate to various levels of the organization (engineering teams, management, process technicians in other areas).
  • Write recipes on inspection and SEM tools.
  • Disposition OOC lots.
Specific Knowledge
  1. Proficient in WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, PROMIS and Datalog.
  2. Knowledge of basic statistics, SPC and FDC is preferred, but not required.
  3. Self-starter and high level of personal energy desired
  4. Understanding Lean Manufacturing Fundamentals and concepts
  5. Obtain tool certifications to support running wafers to meet defectivity and cycle time requirements *Grade may be higher or lower dependent on applicable experience
