Qualifications

• If PhD then 0+ years relevant work experience.
• Experience in semiconductor yield, process integration, process, or defect engineering preferred.
• Good understanding of semiconductor processing and interactions across lithography, deposition, etch, clean, CMP, metallization, and inspection/metrology.
• Strong data analysis and structured problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Python, SQL, JMP, MATLAB, Databricks, or similar tools preferred.
• Experience with AOI recipe development, wafer inspection, image analysis, or defect engineering strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Description

We are seeking a Yield Enhancement Engineer to improve semiconductor yield through data analytics, structured problem solving, process integration, and automated optical inspection (AOI). The role will identify yield-loss mechanisms and work across Process, Equipment, Manufacturing, and Yield teams to implement sustainable improvements.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $86,600 - $182,500 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
