Qualifications

5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
Experience preparing complex individual and business tax returns, including tax planning and audit support.
Strong client-facing, advisory skills and ability to explain tax concepts clearly.
Must meet all IRS/state continuing education requirements.
High school diploma or GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations, including individuals and businesses.
Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, and provide clear recommendations.
Build year-round client relationships with empathetic, consultative service and identify tax savings opportunities.
Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
