Job summary

Dohner Landscaping is seeking a skilled Crew Leader to guide a landscaping crew in Hudson, OH, year-round. This hands-on leadership role focuses on productivity, quality workmanship, safety, and delivering exceptional service on every project.

During winter, the role also serves as Snow Plow Driver, operating trucks and equipment during snow events. This is a full-time, year-round position with career growth and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience leading a landscaping crew or in a senior crew leadership role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate landscape equipment and snow plow trucks.
• Reliability working outdoors in varying weather conditions year-round.
• Punctual, dependable, and able to lead by example.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a landscape crew performing maintenance, hardscape installation, plantings, seasonal cleanups, and enhancement projects.
• Review daily job scopes with the crew and ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate landscape equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, skid steers, and related gear.
• Train, mentor, and develop crew members while promoting a positive work environment.
• Maintain safe work practices and proper use of equipment at all times.
• Keep jobsites, vehicles, and equipment clean, organized, and professional.
• Communicate daily progress, material needs, scheduling updates, and project challenges with supervisors.
• Interact professionally with clients and represent the company with excellent customer service.
• Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and team performance.
• Serve as Snow Plow Driver during snow events (Nov–Apr), operating plow trucks safely.
