Job summary

Winter Services, LLC in Wisconsin is seeking a full-time Fleet Mechanic to inspect and repair our company vehicles and snow removal equipment year-round. You will perform preventative maintenance to keep trucks, plows, and heavy equipment running safely for next season.

Duties include maintenance, diagnostics, tests, and repairs; ensuring DOT compliance; visiting job sites to inspect vehicles; and on-call winter shifts. ASE certification preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and repairing a fleet of vehicles and snow removal equipment.
• Knowledge of brakes, suspension, exhaust and emissions systems.
• Ability to perform diagnostics and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with DOT requirements and safety regulations.
• A strong work ethic and willingness to work long winter shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintains vehicles and equipment, including trucks and heavy equipment.
• Performs routine and preventive maintenance such as oil changes and tune-ups.
• Tests specific parts and systems to ensure proper function.
• Identifies mechanical problems and plans repairs.
• Replaces or repairs malfunctioning parts and systems (brakes, belts, pumps, transmissions).
• Plans timetable to complete repairs and maintenance.
• Visits job sites and facilities to inspect vehicles.
• Has working knowledge of DOT requirements and safety standards.
• Test drives vehicles to confirm safe operation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
