The Yarn Prep Operator sets up and runs equipment to prepare incoming materials for the manufacturing process.
3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm-7:00am w/ training on 1st shift
What you will do:
- Obtains training and knowledge for operating various types of Yarn Prep machinery.
- Provides flexibility to run many different process and machines.
- Follows standard operating procedures and work instructions to set up and operate the textile equipment they are trained to operate.
- Visually inspects product as it is running on their machine and documents/reports defects onto the production records and/or to their supervisor or quality team member.
- Performs tasks in accordance with applicable Work Instructions (WI), Visual Inspection Criteria, SOP’s, and internal specifications.
- Labels and packages product as per internal specifications.
- Enters information and uses ERP system to report quantities and time spent on jobs.
- Maintains clean machinery, parts, and surrounding area.
- Completes all associated paperwork & ERP tasks as required.
- Handles and weighs raw materials, cones, warps, and applicable textile processing tools as needed to perform their job.
Who you are:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 0–1-year related experience.
- Must be able to read/comprehend Quality Manual and Standard Operating Procedures, as well as protocols, and other established procedures.
- Basic understanding of GMP and working within regulated industries.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers and management.
- Strong attention to detail.
