Job summary

Secant Group LLC is seeking a Yarn Prep Operator to set up and run equipment for preparing incoming materials in manufacturing. The role includes operating yarn prep machinery, logging outputs, and adhering to SOPs.

The position requires a high school diploma and 0–1 year of related experience, with GMP familiarity and strong attention to detail. 3rd shift hours 11:00pm–7:00am with training on 1st shift; benefits include PTO, holidays, health, and 401k.

Qualifications

• Basic GMP understanding.

Responsibilities

• Operate Yarn Prep machinery and set up equipment per SOPs.
• Visually inspect product and report defects to supervisor/quality team.
• Follow WI, SOPs and internal specs for packaging.
• Label and package product per internal specs.
• Enter quantities and time spent into ERP system.
• Maintain clean machinery, parts and surrounding area.
• Complete paperwork and ERP tasks as required.
• Handle and weigh raw materials, cones, warps, and textiles processing tools.

Job description

The Yarn Prep Operator sets up and runs equipment to prepare incoming materials for the manufacturing process.

3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm-7:00am w/ training on 1st shift

What you will do:

• Obtains training and knowledge for operating various types of Yarn Prep machinery.
• Provides flexibility to run many different process and machines.
• Follows standard operating procedures and work instructions to set up and operate the textile equipment they are trained to operate.
• Visually inspects product as it is running on their machine and documents/reports defects onto the production records and/or to their supervisor or quality team member.
• Performs tasks in accordance with applicable Work Instructions (WI), Visual Inspection Criteria, SOP’s, and internal specifications.
• Labels and packages product as per internal specifications.
• Enters information and uses ERP system to report quantities and time spent on jobs.
• Maintains clean machinery, parts, and surrounding area.
• Completes all associated paperwork & ERP tasks as required.
• Handles and weighs raw materials, cones, warps, and applicable textile processing tools as needed to perform their job.

Who you are:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 0–1-year related experience.
• Must be able to read/comprehend Quality Manual and Standard Operating Procedures, as well as protocols, and other established procedures.
• Basic understanding of GMP and working within regulated industries.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers and management.
• Strong attention to detail.
