You will greet customers, assist with loading, operate forklifts, and help with packing, shipping, and receiving while staying physically active in all weather conditions. A strong work ethic and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in customer service or team-based environment.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Familiarity with building materials preferred.
• Ability to safely lift heavy objects 60-100 lbs on a regular basis and climbing ladders or stairs to perform duties of the position
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As a Yardman, you will play a key role in ensuring customers receive the materials they need safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Greeting customers and assisting with loading and unloading materials

Work Environment

This position is based in an active warehouse and outdoor yard setting. The role involves frequent physical activity including lifting (including overhead), walking, bending, standing, and carrying materials. Employees should be comfortable working in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.

Machines/Tools/Equipment

Forklifts, hand trucks, small power saws, banding equipment (used to wrap banding around building materials, wrap, tighten and then push down to secure banding).
