Yard Worker/Shipping/Receiving

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure orderly production and distribution of products by delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished products for shipment.
2. Contribute to the efficient operation of stock and/or materials storage areas.
3. Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, and reporting shortages.
4. Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
5. Confirm receipt of delivered materials.
6. Prepare finished components for shipment by identifying, stacking, and securing products.
7. Maintain material-handling equipment through pre-use inspections.
8. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items internally and onto and off trucks or loading docks.
9. Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
10. Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
11. Move large trucks, including semis, and act as a yard spotter.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction and/or lumber is a plus.
• Experience with stock or inventory is advantageous.
• Forklift operation experience is preferred.
• Experience working with large trucks, including semis, and acting as a yard spotter is preferred.
