Job summary

84 Lumber is seeking a Yard Person to build loads for deliveries and maintain a safe, organized lumber yard. You will load and unload lumber and materials and operate a forklift to move items around the yard.

The role supports a family-owned company with strong growth opportunities, where most store managers began as trainees, and internal promotions are common. A high school diploma or GED is required, and the job may involve lifting up to 80 pounds.

• Reading and comprehending simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; writing simple correspondence.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Forklift operation is part of duties in the yard.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Associate is responsible for building loads for deliveries. In addition, the Yard Person Benefits must maintain a safe, clean and well organized lumber yard, load and unload lumber and/or building supplies, and operate a forklift. Other duties as assigned.
