Job summary

Fenix Parts, Inc. is seeking a part-time Yard Utility at our Elmira, NY facility. You will assist in yard operations, move salvaged vehicles, and help keep areas clean and organized. Forklift and small equipment operation are essential, along with basic computer skills and a high school diploma. This role supports production and customer service activities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with forklift and small equipment operation is preferred.
• Basic safety and mechanical understanding are important for yard duties.

Responsibilities

• Move salvaged vehicles around the yard and assist with positioning.
• Maintain cleanliness and sorting of cores, processing metals as needed.
• Operate forklift and small equipment in yard operations.
• Respond to customer requests and support production workflow.

Part Time Warehouse/Yard Elmira, NY, US

Salary Range: $17.00 To $18.00 Hourly

Yard utility operators provide general assistance to wherever it may be needed in the production area while maintaining the safety of themselves and anyone around them.

Will use numerous types of equipment to move salvaged vehicles throughout the yard.

Help Set Vehicles

Maintains cleanliness of the facility through sweeping designated areas, emptying and sorting of core bins, processing of aluminum, copper, brass and other precious metals, packaging and weighing of core batteries, and removal of Freon from scrap refrigeration units.

Will operate a forklift and small equipment.

Will respond to various types of customer requests.

High School diploma or equivalent

Experience with forklift and small equipment operation, previous heavy equipment operating, general maintenance and understanding of mechanical equipment

Basic computer skills
