Job summary

Relogistics is seeking a Yard Truck Driver to move loaded and unloaded trailers within our reverse logistics centers. You will operate an Ottawa Yard Truck, perform equipment checks, inspect loads, and help maintain a safe, efficient operation. Some forklift duties and inventory handling may apply.

Excellent attention to detail and basic computer skills are required. Expect overtime and a strong safety mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience driving a yard truck or semi is a plus, not required.
• Good math, language and reading skills with attention to detail along with basic computer skills.
• High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment.
• Understanding that overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate an automatic Ottawa Yard Truck with the ability to maneuver 53' long trailers into tight spaces without causing damage.
• Perform daily equipment checks such as checking fluid levels, cleaning air filters, examining equipment for damage or leaks in addition to ensuring loads are secure.
• Inspect loads to ensure they are secure.
• Operate a forklift to move pallets or materials around the storage facility when applicable.
• Stack pallets or materials in the correct manner, following inventory control instructions.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment that meets Relogistics standards.
