Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Coppell, TX is hiring for full-time CDL Class A Yard Drivers. You will operate late-model Penske trucks, move trailers, couple/uncouple, and spot trailers for loading and unloading.

You’ll enjoy weekly pay, home daily, with Monday–Friday, 5AM start, and a comprehensive benefits package. Eligible drivers receive paid vacation from day one, strong health coverage, retirement options, disability protections, uniforms, and a driver referral program.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and US residency required.
• DOT medical card required or ability to obtain.
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience in 3 years or 2 years in 5 years.
• 3 years DMV/MVR with two or fewer violations/accidents.
• Comply with all laws, regulations and company rules.
• Regular, predictable full attendance is essential.
• English language proficiency required per federal law.
• Complete Penske employment application and background check.
• DOT safety sensitive position with safety responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers in and out of dock as directed by management.
• Couple and uncouple trailers.
• Chock trailers as they are spotted for loading and unloading and pulling from doors.

Immediate Opportunities: Full-time Class A Yard Drivers

• Earn $25.50 per hour plus overtime after 40 hours
• Monday through Friday
• Home daily
• AM start time

• Late model, Penske Truck Leasing trucks

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the past 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

• The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
