Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Milwaukee, WI to join a safety-focused fleet delivering steel and metal products. You will operate a 48' & 53' Spread Axle Flatbed with day cab and home daily. Expect weekly pay, competitive benefits, and opportunities for growth within a nationwide network.

Starting at $30.00 per hour with 40+ hours per week, schedule is Sunday - Thursday. Benefits begin after 30 days, with PTO from day 1 and a 401(k) plan with company match.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL with endorsements.
• Minimum 21 years old and pass Ryder drug test.
• Pass a DOT physical and road test per requirements.
• Class A verifiable experience: 9 months past 3 years, 2 years past 5 years, or 5 years past 10 years.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist as needed by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Hourly Pay: $30.00 Per Hour


• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week


• Tenure Bonus:$1200, pays You $300 Four Times A Year, Every Quarter


• Loyalty Bonus: $2500, pay you $1250 at 6 months and $1250 at 1 year

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age


• Pass a Ryder Drug Test


• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years


• Pass a DOT physical


• Pass a Ryder road test


• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position


• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  
  
  
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  
  
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  
  
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  
  
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  
  
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
