Job summary

Leadpoint Business Services seeks a Yard Dog Driver in Charlotte, NC to move trailers and containers, support production and shipping, and maintain a safe yard environment.

This full-time role includes opportunities for advancement, a strong benefits package after 60 days, and an emphasis on safety and teamwork. Must be able to pass background checks and drug screens, with CDL possible depending on need.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License (CDL may be required depending on facility needs).
• Previous yard dog, terminal tractor, or commercial driving experience preferred.
• Strong focus on safety and situational awareness.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Trailer spotting and yard organization.
• Move trailers to and from loading docks, staging areas, and processing areas.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard equipment.
• Ensure trailers are properly secured and positioned for loading/unloading.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors and warehouse staff.
• Monitor yard conditions and report safety concerns immediately.
• Complete required logs and documentation accurately.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
